Happy Halloween, guys and ghouls!
Welcome to the
Monster Madness Blog Hop hosted by Kelly Hashway and Vicki
Leigh. Since Kelly and Vicki both released monster books this year
(The Monster Within and Catch Me When I Fall), they thought it would be
fun to have a blog hop dedicated to the monsters we all love so much.
The rules are simple. Answer 3 of
the following questions and then tag 5 people to do the same.
Here We go!
What
monster terrifies you the most?
It's a UNANIMOUS yell, ALL CLOWNS ARE MONSTERS!!!Do you have a good haunted house story?
Lexy: This isn't a haunted house story, but another haunted story. This one is an urban legend of sorts from where I live in New Jersey. So many might know when I say Pine Barrens you think of the Jersey Devil, but I am talking about the Atco Ghost. He's a little boy who lived on a dark side street, who one day was outside playing with his basketball, when a car came speeding down the street and hit the boy. Yes, sadly the little boy was killed. Well at night if you sit in your car and flash your lights in the street, you will see the little boy walk back and forth across the street in the spot he was runned down.Freaky!! Coincidentally there is a elementary school not to far from this spot, and sometimes in the hallway at the backdoor of the school, you will hear a ball like a basketball, being bounced around. Now this I believe since I've heard it plenty of times, especially when the school is quiet. I am a cheer coach so I am in the school after hours. Hearing that ball being bounced when you know NO ONE is in the school, is a hair raising, heart stopping experience.
Who says Ghosts aren't real??
What's your favorite monster?
Jocelyn: My favorite monster would have to be Freddy Krueger. My
very first horror movie watching experience was Nightmare on Elm Street when I
was about ten and I have been a fan ever since. There was always something
about the twisted and dark humor that radiated from Freddy’s character that
made him a sort of likable monster. Terrifying but likable. Despite countless
sleepless nights after watching Freddy as a child it is still my go to movie
during the Halloween season.
We all answered not so much. HAHA I(lexy) love Dean Koontz stories, ever since I was a wee little brat and could process the stories, but when I was younger and getting started in the freaky mind of Dean Koontz, I wouldn't be able to sleep without my light on! LOL NO WAY! Iknew that any minute some kind of monster was going to crash into my bedroom window! I just knew it!!! HAHA
JC , Annie, and Jamie read Stephen King, in my opinion that dude gets in your head and terrorizes the crap out of you!
Have any book recommendations for stories that include monsters?
In our chat group we were snapping pics of books and thinking back to all the good scary stories we have read throughout our lives and here's a list we came up that range from Pre-teen to Young Adult. Check them out;

Finally, create your own monster! What does it look like, and what scary things can it
do?
So the majority of our group hates clowns, like HATES them. So our monster would definitely be clown oriented. Check it out below, yeah this is not a clown I would ever go see. EVER!!!
