Rosie
They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They're right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple.
The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister's ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. My white knight has finally arrived. Hopefully, he isn’t too late.
Dean
They say the brightest stars burn out the fastest. They’re right.
She sets my mind on fire.
All smart mouth, snarky attitude and a huge heart.
In a world where everything is dull, she shines like fucking Sirius.
Eleven years ago, fate tore us apart.
This time, I fucking dare it to try.
Getting to her is a battlefield, but man, that’s why they call me Ruckus.
Rosie LeBlanc is about to find out how hard I can fight.
And conquering her will be the sweetest victory.
Dean “Ruckus” Cole. Green eyes, brown hair, sinfully
sexy, former star quarterback, millionaire, and HotHole.
I
am completely smitten by his jerkish ways!!
Going into Ruckus after devouring Vicious (for the
second time) I thought I had a handle on how Ruckus was going to go for me. You
know, bad boy who has a heart of gold, so that means there will be some
redemption to be had for his story.
And
there was to a point.
But what I loved most about this story is that L.J.
Shen stuck to who Dean really is and let him tell his story…
Ruckus is a story about trying to break free from the
cycles that define a family, unknowingly. It’s the ultimate love story that
doesn’t have that particular happy ending we sometimes wish for. It’s intense. Ruckus
is dark. He’s destructive. Ruckus is surprisingly full of suspense and plot
twists out the ying yang!!
Speaking of balancing. Ruckus’s other half of himself lies
in the baby sister of Emilia. Ruckus’s only ex-girlfriend and his best-friend’s
fiancé. Rosie.
Rose, a name fitting for the girl who wants to keep
everyone at bay because it’s what’s best for everyone involved. If you’ve read Vicious,
then you already know she has a life threating disease that will only cut her
time with Earth short, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to make it a go
with Dean. After some persuading from him of course. Dean and Rosie’s love
story stands the test of time and is scorching hot! Ruckus is a dirty boy and
brings out the wild side in Rosie. When these two get together the chemistry is
off the charts but also there’s a sweetness to them that only comes from them being
the real deal.
Surrounding all the sexy and swoony moments, you’re
pulled back under the veil of some enthralling drama that will have you
swinging on the pendulum in both directions trying to figure out which way the
story is going to take you.
AND
that was my favorite thing about this book!! The depth
I was taken and the point of being blindsided with what I thought was going to
happen... I was slapped silly with the words and all I could think was, “I am
in all the way!!!” Throughout the whole book it felt that I was reading forever,
not in a bad way. NO!!! It was written so well that even now I wish that I was
still in the lives of Ruckus and Rosie. There were so many words, but never
once did it feel like it was too many words. I wish I had more of these two!!
In my opinion, these books keep getting better and better and I can’t wait for
the next HotHole to grace my kindle!!
