isn’t pulling any stops with this story.
There in the
synopsis we were told we weren’t going to like Marcus and Bella is right, I
don’t like Marcus. In fact, I hate Marcus. He’s a mean, broody, impossibly
stoic human being that has closed himself off to any kind of emotion. Except
for his friend Mack, we see glimpses of some kind of feelings when Mack is
thrown into the plot but other than that, nothing. I thought when Marcus and Katia’s
story started to unfold the big bad man would redeem himself. He didn’t, not in
the traditional way that we like our love stories to be. Instead Marcus with
his broody, bossiness came out to be so damn sexy, I couldn’t help but want him
so badly to be a changed man. I thought that Katia’s love for him would be
enough to break through that tough exterior and we would get to the bottom of why
Marcus is so mean and closed off. NOPE. Nothing. What we get, was Bella Jewels’
uncanny way of stopping the story, just when I was at the point of no return.
The point where my questions were going to be answered. Just when Katia finds
out the truth and Marcus has to make a decision.
