I have been reading this series since Dear Emily was
published and oh my goodness I was hooked! This would explain why I was so
excited to get my little hands on this book. You definitely need to read books
1 & 2 in this series and know the back story to really understand what is
going on with Seth.
Seth’s life looked picture perfect but underneath it all he
got to deal with his alcoholic mother and absent father, the only thing keeping
him afloat are his friends Juliet and Jeremy. He has been friends with Jeremy
for as long as he can remember and met Juliet in the third grade when they
became pen pals as an English assignment. Seth was always able to talk to say
whatever he wanted through emails and letters with Juliet but was shy when it
came to talking face to face at times, especially once he started to have
feelings for her. Jeremy never had a problem with being shy so when he asks
Juliet out and she accepts, Seth falls into the protector and friend role. Inseparable
as they all were, when tragedy strikes Seth doesn’t quite know what to do but
he is there for her through thick and thin. I never saw what was coming at the
end of the book and well to find out how things turn out you are just going to
have to buy yourself a copy!!
I have been a reader of Trudy Stiles since day one and I
absolutely love her writing style, you feel every ounce of heartbreak,
happiness, and angst. She writes captivating stories which you can’t put down
once you start and keeps you wanting more. I will say that I did find myself
hugging my box of Kleenex at times but there was no ugly crying while reading
this book. Kudos to Trudy for ending this series the way she did and I am
giving this book 5 emotional stars and highly recommend it!!
