Now available: Strong Enough, the first book in the Tall, Dark, and Dangerous trilogy by M. Leighton! A dark and sexy read in the style of the bestselling Bad Boys novels.
That’s when I met Jasper. A bounty hunter with the eyes of a tiger and the nose of a bloodhound, he was supposed to help me find my father. What I didn’t know was that meeting him was no accident. Hunting people isn’t all that Jasper does. And helping me was only part of his plan. I just wish I’d found out sooner, before my heart got involved. But even then, I don’t know if I’d have done things differently.
Now, I have another choice to make—trust the man that I’m falling in love with and hope that he’ll do the right thing, or run as far away from him as I can get. And is he strong enough to let her?
Is she strong enough to trust the most dangerous man she’s ever met? And is he strong enough to let her?
My Review
Strong Enough is the first installment from M. Leighton's newest Tall, Dark, and Dangerous series. My, oh, my is Jasper King all three of those things!
Muse Harper is in the market to find a bounty hunter to find her missing father. The Colonel sent Muse across the country to keep her safe and only communicates with her in ways that will do just that, even though she has no idea what he is trying to keep her safe from. She hires Jasper King to find her father, and she sets out on a trip back across the country with him to find the missing pieces to the puzzle. Things get more heated as the mystery unravels, and nothing is as it seems for Muse Harper.
This book was amazing. Michelle does what she does best as usual with this book, and weaves a beautiful story while keeping us on our toes. I loved Muse, and Jasper, oh Jasper. Once again Michelle has knocked it out of the park!

I fell for
M. Leighton and her books before I started blogging and let me tell you she
will always be a go to author to read for me. The first book in a new series,
Tall, Dark and Dangerous, starts off with a jolt to your system with mind
numbing events and its non-stop action and suspense until the very end.
I see how
Strong Enough is the perfect title for the story of Muse and Mr. Tall, Dark and
Dangerous himself… Jasper King. The Lion and the Lamb. Muse has to be strong enough
to be able to handle the events that are rocking her life and the ones
important to her but when Jasper comes into her life on what she thinks is her
terms she couldn’t be more wrong and it takes every ounce of strength she was
born with. Even though Muse knows she’s treading the line of darkness with
Jasper the promise of a deep satisfaction from him is one that she can’t ignore
and one that Jasper wants to give.
I love the
military who done it covert affairs suspense or who is hiding secrets stories
and this one is not a disappointment. Take note that Strong Enough is a series
so we don’t get a full closure but a promise to book 2 with new characters with
also a continuation to steps closer to getting the answers to the questions
that are being asked.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author M. Leighton is a native of Ohio. She relocated to the warmer climates of the South, where she can be near the water all summer and miss the snow all winter. Possessed of an overactive imagination from early in her childhood, Michelle finally found an acceptable outlet for her fantastical visions: literary fiction. Having written over a dozen novels, these days Michelle enjoys letting her mind wander to more romantic settings with sexy Southern guys, much like the one she married and the ones you'll find in her latest books. When her thoughts aren't roaming in that direction, she'll be riding horses, swimming in ponds and experiencing life on a ranch, all without leaving the cozy comfort of her office.
