•*¨☆¸.•*´Anchor by M. Mabie Blog Tour and Double Review

Anchor by M. Mabie

Publication Date:  9/21/15

I believe in love at first sight.
Now I know soulmates exist.

Nothing has ever been easy for us.
Every fight, every struggle, has been worth it.

I’m stubborn, but what woman isn’t?
She’s hard work and I love the overtime.

He’s frustrating and unpredictable. I hope he never changes.
I love driving her crazy. That’s half the fun.

Lou’s sexy curls.
Honeybee’s pink nose.

He still looks at me like I’m precious and unflawed.
She treats me like I’m the center of her world.

Our future will be full of happiness.
Despite everything, we’re two of the lucky ones.

I took the bait.
She was a lucky catch.

He is the wind in my sail.
She’s the anchor that grounds me.

The wake our love made is beautiful.
Every day I thank God for her.

No matter the hurdles, we’ve jumped them side-by-side.
No matter the obstacles, we’ve made it through together.

For better or for worse, I’d do it again.
I’ll love and protect her all the days of my life.

We made it.
We always will.

This whole series is fantastic! And because the book world needs to have a rating Jamie and I give the Wake Series 5+ Stars. That's why our most prized 'Read Now' Seal is in place of the traditional rating! We can't say enough how much we loved this series!!  We are jealous of those that get to read it for the first time! We are humbled that Ms Mabie gave us the chance to read early! For me, I am so happy that I listened to Jamie when she recommended to read Bait, well recommend doesn't quite portray what she did. She literally yelled at me to read it! LOL Yes, she gets very passionate about what she loves! LOL As she should be. Enjoy this series to the fullest and hope you enjoy our reviews!

What a journey this has been! I know, I know these are just books some say, but when you have invested your time reading, these books become something special. When an author such as M. Mabie sits down and lets her soul pour out of her onto paper for others to see, these books become something more.
A piece of you.
My journey started with book 1 in The Wake Series, BAIT, like it will for everyone else. A story of a relationship that starts off in a way that really shouldn’t. But they say the soul will always recognize it’s other half.

“I’ve dreamed of us being like this. Together.” ~CM

Then in book 2, Sail, Casey and Blake got their redemption. Sort of. The love story between these two transcends time and is all consuming. Often blinding to what may be happening around them. Allowing others to hurt them.

“You and I are tough, Blake. Even though it probably doesn’t feel or look like it, we were fighting to be together that whole time. And we’re so close. We’re so close I can feel it.” CM

Now we’ve come full circle. This last book in The Wake Series, Anchor; I loved the other two books but this book steals my heart. When we embark on a journey there is the promise of an ending. A happily ever after. Anchor gives us that. It also gives us more. More Casey. My book gods! I have never loved a fictional character more than I love Casey Moore. I mean shirt clenching, saying out loud ‘’aww”. Being completely enamored by this guy, he sets the bar high for knowing how to take care of his girl. His Betty. His Honeybee. Blake. I’ve always liked her. She made me mad at times through all of this but I never judged her. Well not too much anyway. Her love for Casey made me love her.

“I was going to move heaven and earth to give him everything he wanted.”~ BW
Anchor is my beautiful ending. It reminded me of the first steps, the 10th step, and laid me gently down while filling my heart with love and contentment as I watched Casey and Blake make the most important commitments to each other. Anchor will keep you steady reading from page 1 to the end. I will be nice and warn you, make sure to have tissues nearby. Even the hardest of hard people will break from the beauty of love that happens in this book. It’s funny. It’s hopeful. It will make you look back and burst your heart at the seams. I loved that while I was reading I wanted so badly to get to the end but really not wanting Anchor to be over. The words are perfect. The Wake Series will always be one that I recommend others to read.

"Just like a good book, when it's just right, you never want it to end."

And that is exactly how I felt, or feel rather, with Casey and Blake's love story.

Bait broke me down.  Sail stitched me back up, and even though I was healed, the scars remained.  Anchor reassured me that the things that were meant to be would always turn out okay in the end.

I fell hard for Casey Moore.  It was instant in Bait, and as I watched the story unfold, my heart broke, and those pieces were trampled on by Blake.  I wasn't her biggest fan.  I still held out the hope that things would turn around and I rooted for Blake and Casey the whole way through. M. Mabie has that way about her.  Her character development is top notch.  She took Blake from a place where I couldn't see any other way but to strangle her to one of my most beloved Heroines.  At the end of Sail I messaged Mo, and begged her to tell me that it wasn't the end of the story.  That Blake and Casey had more to their HEA.

And it wasn't.
And it was beautiful.
Anchor was epic.

Blake and Casey's love story was anything but conventional from the start.  The odds were completely stacked against them, but it proves that even though true love, the epic kind of love, even though messy and at times dirty; it is always, ALWAYS beautiful and always worth the struggle.

Fans of this series will NOT be disappointed.  I cried so many happy tears all the way through this book, and had the biggest grin on my face when it ended.  Don't get me wrong, not everything is smooth sailing, Blake and Casey still have some trials and tribulations to overcome, but Mo promised she would fix it.  And guess what, the end result is nothing short of amazing.

M. Mabie lives in Illinois with her husband. She writes unconventional love stories and tries to embody "real-life romance."

She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne's World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happens. Almost.

M. Mabie usually doesn't speak in third-person. She promises.
