Title: Switch
Series: Landry Family #3
Author: Adriana Locke
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: February 20, 2017

Mallory Sims is late for her first day of work.

After spilling her tea, she discovers she has no gas in her car. Add that her arm keeps sticking to her dress from syrup left on the console of her car, flustered feels like an understatement.

Then she sees her new boss.

Graham Landry is the epitome of NSFW in his custom-fit suit, black-rimmed glasses, and a look so stern her libido doesn’t stand a chance. Being flustered is just the start of her problems.

Her punctuality is only the start of his. With a pink slip in hand, he’s been waiting on his new secretary to show up only to let her go. Then she rushes in with her doe eyes and rambling excuses, smelling like bacon and lavender. The termination paper falls to the side as she falls in his arms.

This is a disaster in the making. Not because of his pinpoint exactness or her free spirit, but because when they’re together, the sparks that fly threaten to burn the whole place down.

Her skin is pale and creamy, a soft framework for the deep chestnut hair cascading across her shoulders. A dress the color of moss in the summer showcases toned arms and a long, lean line from her shoulders to her calves. A thin rope belt cinches her trim waist, one that I can imagine digging my fingers into.

I clear my throat. “Can I help you?”

With something besides getting out of that dress?

“I think you probably can,” she breathes, then blushes a pretty shade of pink. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that. What I mean is …”

She’s flustered. It’s adorable and sexy at the same time. I should say something, interject, help her out, but I don’t. I like this entirely too much.

“I’ll stop talking now.” She flashes me a pretty smile, one that catches my attention in ways it shouldn’t at eight-sixteen a.m. Taking a step towards me, the toe of her shoe catches on the water bottle she didn’t pick up and she comes barreling my way.

Before I know what’s happening, I reach out and catch her under a spray of loose leaf paper.

“Omph!” she heaves as she lands in my arms and I’m surrounded by a sweet, earthy scent.

I should let her go. I should back away, direct her to the front desk to get directions to wherever she’s going, and retreat to my office. Regardless of how sexy her breasts feel pressed against me or the way her ass pops as my fingers lace together at the dip at the bottom of her spine, I have things to do today. Important things. Lots of them. Even if I can’t pinpoint one at the moment.

Large, nearly golden-colored eyes peer up at me. They’re crystal clear, almost like I can see all the way to the depths of her soul. They’re incredible tones of the purest gold and I can’t look away.

The feel of her body against mine sparks something inside me—a carnal, visceral reaction that’s led by feeling rather than intellect. “Are you okay?” I ask, trying desperately to use the brainpower I’m known for in most circles and not the cock I’m known for in others.

“I think so.” She pulls her gaze away from mine. A connection is actually snapped between us and I’m almost certain she feels it too because her features fall. “I’m just running late …”

Hell. Fucking. No.

I’m afraid to ask the next question. If the answer is what I think it is, I’m going to kill my little sister.

I can’t even begin to express just how excited I was to finally have Graham Landry’s story land in my hands.  It has been forever waiting to get to his book!! Well really it has only been a few months but in book time that’s like 10 million days!! BUT, while reading these words it felt as if time stood still. I couldn’t be more satisfied as a reader with Switch. I was given a story that kept on unfolding layers until the swoony end.

Graham Landry. The G man. The brooding brother. The brother who doesn’t miss a beat. The one who carries the Landry family on his shoulders, and he does it with pride. The Landry that makes no room for error and always has a solid backup plan to the backup plan for everything in life, and his life is Landry Holdings. Graham manages the family fortune as well as the break apart side family business adventures that each sibling endeavors. He is fast passed and controls it all with finesse until his life is cracked and the ever reliable Executive Assistant he has quits on him. Trying to find someone to replace the unreplaceable that helps him keep his ducks in a row, he goes through multiple applicants unsuccessfully until the ever fateful day Mallory Sims falls into his office at the request of Graham’s sister Sienna. The moment is kismet and definitely starts to unravel Graham and his plans. The spark ignites, it can’t be tucked in, and he has to just find a way to control it.

Mallory Sims has always known the struggle and the hustle. She found out pretty early in life that if she wanted something she had to be the one to get it for herself. Finding herself in a relationship that only broke her spirit and drive for self-success while finally realizing that it was going nowhere fast, Mallory went back to her hometown in Georgia to right the wrongs in her life and make a fresh start. When the golden opportunity of a business job landed in her lap, all Mallory could do was count herself lucky. Little did she know that the sexy CEO that has a laugh that’s “warm and soothing but has a gruffness to it that it reminds her of a five o’clock shadow---just scratchy enough to lend a little rogue that ups the sex appeal by a hundredfold”, would be her kryptonite.

And the rest is Landry history.

Hold on. Let me back up. There are a few things that need to be addressed.

     1.     Graham is MINE. #AllisReadPROPERTY

2.     Getting little windows of information on Graham from the previous Landry Family books, I can say with certainty, that Switch will solidify Graham Landry to be the NEW FAVORITE LANDRY.

3.     He is perfect in a suit and in just a pair of pants.

4.     “Watching” him come undone has been by far the most pleasurable time spent reading that I’ve had since another hot suit donner.

5.     Graham Landry is sexy, delectable, addictive, and couldn’t be a hotter main character if Mallory Sims was not his counterpart. Just let me say “tasting” is an overload of senses.

WHEW! Okay. Carrying on…

If you have been following Adriana Locke or if you are a new reader looking for a great book to just get cozy with, Switch is for you. Switch is a standalone within a series, so it can be read by itself or out of book order, but I urge every reader to read all 3 books in this family series (preferably in sequence) because there is just so much back story within this book as well as the other books that you’ll miss that unique feeling of “knowing” the Landry’s. I have no doubts that readers will love each book.

Switch is just as funny as it is plucking those heart strings with a heavy dose of sex appeal making it the perfect go to romance story. What I liked most about Switch (and the other Landry’s too) is the banter and the family connections. I love that while this is “Graham’s” book, we still see a lot of the family and their dynamics. We as readers are completely injected into a family that you can’t help love but also get those doses of eye rolling from nonsensical siblings like you would get with your own family.

I love that I resonate with the Landry’s. They hold a special place in my heart and I am ready and waiting for what’s to come in the future from this family and Adriana Locke!

Make sure to pick up SWITCH and THE LANDRY’s TODAY if you haven’t already!

THE FIREFLY LAKE SERIES

THE COTTAGE AT FIREFLY LAKE, #1
SUMMER ON FIREFLY LAKE, #2

“Do you still want to sell the cottage?” He took a shallow breath and leaned forward. Which was a mistake because now he was in touching and tasting distance of her.
“Of course.” Charlie looked down, but not before Sean caught the flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. “But my mom loved Firefly Lake. Maybe we can come up with a better option, one that won’t change everything she loved. What do you think?”
Sean’s breathing sped up. By working with her and Mia, he might be able to protect Carmichael’s. Protect his family, his community, and his way of life. But he’d also have to spend more time with Charlie. “I guess I could talk to the chamber of commerce and the Rotary Club.”
“You’re president of the Firefly Lake Rotary Club.” Charlie’s eyes twinkled. “I saw a picture in Nick’s office of the two of you at some Rotary dinner. You have influence.”
“Maybe I do, but why should I use it to help you and your sister?”
“This isn’t about helping us. It’s about Carmichael’s and Firefly Lake, and this whole special area.” Her eyes were wise, seeing through him like always. Seeing what mattered to him.
“I’ll think about it.” His gaze locked with hers and something sizzled between them. The heat that had always been there—but had deepened because they weren’t the kids they’d been.
“We don’t have anything against you.” She took a business card from the holder on the desk and traced the letters of his name. “But Mia. . . she’s dealing with . . .some stuff . . . She’s the only family I’ve got.”
Sean knew all about family loyalty. How it could suffocate you and force you into choices you didn’t want to make. “What kind of stuff?”
“I can’t . . . ” She swallowed, and a pulse worked in her jaw. “A Tat Chee development would hurt a lot of people. Mom wouldn’t have wanted something that hurt people who were her friends. Hurt the place she never forgot. Mia and I don’t want that either.”
“It has nothing to do with you and me?” Sean looked into her face, the girl he’d loved still there beneath the woman she’d become.
“Of course not.” Charlie’s voice trembled.
“Deny it all you want, but we’re still hooked together.” He gave a harsh laugh. “Beyond trying to get it out of our systems, I don’t know what the hell we can do about it.”
Charlie came around the desk. She licked her lips and his body leaped. “Even if there is still something between us, we can’t do anything about it.”
“Starting something again would be a bad idea.” Sean pushed the words out, over the tightness in his chest.
“A very bad idea.” Her voice was a sensual caress.
“What if we can’t help it?” He stood and shoved the chair away, sending it crashing into the wall to overturn. He reached for her, and the shock of her warm, bare skin jolted through him.
“I shouldn’t . . . ” But even as she spoke, she leaned into him, soft, like the Charlie he remembered. Her head fit into the curve of his shoulder like it belonged there.
“Me neither.” He dipped his head and brushed his mouth against her neck, peaches and her scent greeting him. The one he could have picked out blindfolded even after all these years.
“Your mom told me to stay away from you.” She angled her neck toward his mouth.
“I told her to butt out.” He licked the sensitive cord in her neck, and she gasped.
“You did?” She whimpered as he intensified the caress.
He drew back. “You and me, we’re none of her business.”
“There isn’t a you and me. There can’t be. I’m only here for just over two more weeks.” Her words came out in a breathy moan. “Whatever this is, it can’t go anywhere. I don’t want anyone to get hurt.” Her small hands were gentle on his forearms. That gentleness was a side of her she didn’t let many people see.
“I know the rules.” He pulled her close again...
