This is a fantastic compilation of stories for those who are lovers of
the fairy tale classics we have all grown up with. These authors have a
wondrous knack for taking the fairy tales near and dear to our hearts
and twisting them into deliciously dark or seductively romantic tales
that make us fall in love with them all over again. There were
paranormal twists to favorites like Sleeping Beauty and the Twelve
Dancing Princesses and we even were able to fall in love with a certain
sexy handsome incubus demon in the likes of Rumpelstiltskin.
I
loved being able to read these stories in a new light, it was so much
fun and even more exciting then the first time you hear these stories as
a child. I would have to say that my stand out favorites were Priceless
(Rumplestiltskin), Blayze & Ash(Beauty & the Beast) and The
Snow Queen. The Snow Queen in particular was a very twisted and dark
tale and excellently retold by Shannon Morton in which our evil
protagonist Winter is bent on freeing people from their emotional cages
by breaking their hearts. Its both intriguing and heartbreaking but
Winter is so good at being evil that you can't help but admire her
tenacity.
Great fun read whether you read the stories back to
back or read them individually over time. You will love how these
authors have given their own spin on these memorable tales!
