The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was seventeen. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase … he started out as a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six foot frame. A distraction who played like a god and partied like a devil.
I tried to stay away. I couldn’t.
Then, the team started losing.
Women started dying.
And everything in my world broke apart.

Moonshot is my first Alessandra Torre book and I couldn’t be
more pleased with my time reading it. I definitely have the need to go back and
read everything else that has been written and I can’t wait for more!!
“Look to the moon when you swing, he instructed. That’s what you want.
A ball that disappears into it. One that goes to the moon and past. A moonshot.”
For Ty Rollins baseball was her life, literally. Being the
only female ball girl and the daughter of soon to be Hall of Famer Frank
Rollins, pitcher for the NY Yankees, Ty could probably out stat you while she
was preparing for her high school calculus final. She lived with the pinstriped
family since she was seven and lucky for her she enjoyed the game; Ty lived and
breathed baseball. Fast forward 10 years when her life with the ball club will make
her come smack dab with one of baseball’s notorious playboys Chase Stern who
has been traded to the Yanks to get away from the scandal that he finds himself
in. It doesn’t hurt that he happens to
be an amazing ball player either. What starts out as a forbidden romance evolves
into something much more over the years in this great adaptation of love
between two people coupled with the emotions of America’s favorite pastime, Baseball.
Moonshot takes any word lover on a
journey by starting out being immersed into a YA novel on through to a NA story
to end up with a unique way of making any reader happy with the storyline.
Now I don’t want you to think Moonshot is only a love story.
Deep rooted within, you’ll find yourself on a journey of self-discovery as well
as the suspense of a “who done it” that turned out to be the perfect surprise that
I found myself itching to find closure to.
“Certain loves can’t be fought.”
I believe Moonshot will be a favorite that will stay with
you over the years.
