My Review
For the past seven years Skylar Rose has not had an easy
life, on her 16th birthday her family was involved in a hit and run
accident in which both her parents died. She gave up on her dream of being a
dancer to help give her little sister Sophie everything she could ever need. In
her Senior year of college she works herself to the point of exhaustion to keep
Sophie’s dream of becoming a soccer star afloat and hopes she is chosen for an
internship that she has applied for that will finally kick start her own career
and make things a bit easier.
Sebastian Thorne is the CEO of Thorne Industries, sexy, hot,
basically the epitome of a billionaire playboy has a dark secret. 7 years ago
he was the cause of an accident that killed 2 people and has never been able to
let go of the guilt he carries or forgotten the girl with the turquoise eyes
that he left in the car. He has checked up on her from time to time always from
a distance until one night he is unable to stay away and “bumps” into Skylar at
the coffee shop she works at, he vows to himself to stay away from her and he
does until….. the day she walks into his office for an internship interview.
The tension between Skylar and Sebastian is so thick you
could cut it with a knife, they are both unbelievably attracted to each other
and yeah just wow!!! They keep things professional between them but will the
draw they have to each other break that?
One day while Skylar is out she is almost run over by another
ridiculously sexy CEO, Lucas Drake. Lucas instantly feels a connection with
Skylar and wants nothing more than for her to be his.
Will pushing Skylar away constantly keep working for
Sebastian? Will Lucas win Skylar’s heart by default because of Sebastian’s
hesitation? They both fall hard and fast for her and she them, but who will she
ultimately choose? Will Sebastian tell her what happened or will Skylar find

This was such a good book!! I was sucked in from the get go
and I found myself needing to know more so I didn’t put the book down till it
was finished. I loved the chemistry of the characters, the amount of emotions
that Mia Michelle was able to influx into this book is amazing and left you
wanting more. I enjoyed that it was both Skylar and Sebastian’s POV because it
explains what is going on emotionally for both of them and their inner turmoil.
It ended with a slight cliffhanger but the 2nd book is available
now. I’m actually going to go grab it now so I can see what happens next!!
