˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜♪♥♪♥ Annie's Top 10 of 2015 ♪♥♪♥

Wow it’s already the end of 2015…… it seems to have just flown by. It’s also about the time that we readers start to come up with lists of books or Authors that have just stood out and are just so memorable that we need to share them.

That being said, here are my top 10 Authors and the books that sang to me the most.

** These Authors & books are not listed in any specific order, it doesn’t matter where on the list they sit since they are all amazing story tellers!! **

Fighting to Breathe

Aurora Rose Reynolds never fails to amaze me with her stories, and while being different from her other books Fighting to Breathe is perfection in my opinion! Austin and Lea’s story is just beautiful, they have been apart for fifteen years and even though both of them have gone in two different directions the love they have for each other has never wavered. I loved reading how their lives had been so different and how deeply Austin had been hurt by the events of the past. I loved how even through all of the things that happened he was still willing to fight for what he wanted instead of against it.

Resurrecting Phoenix

Resurrecting Phoenix is a beautiful story of love, loss, and the re-finding of oneself. Isabel Lucero is a wonderful wordsmith and has written an amazing story!!! I will admit that I had my teary moments but if I could go back and read this again for the first time I would jump on the chance. The characters are written so well that there is an instant connection with them from the get go, they are imperfect but work towards surviving the hands life have dealt them. Isabel has out done herself and definitely brought me on a roller coaster ride of emotions feeling the loss and grief but bringing me back through to the love and hope that this amazing story conveys.

The Legend of Arturo King

This was my first taste of how amazing L.B. Dunbar’s writing is!!  I am a huge Rocker Romance junkie so when I read the synopsis I knew I needed to read this book. I was hooked instantly, and imagine my surprise when it dawned on me that this is a modern twist of Camelot. Just imagine what if King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table happened to be in a rock band!! I was impressed with LB’s ability to take a classic and interpret it the way she has. Her writing is wonderful and I was instantly drawn to the brooding Arturo, the man goes after what he wants and doesn’t back down. This the first book in The Legendary Rock Stars series and is not your everyday rocker romance. I loved the mystery and uncertainty that surrounded the secondary characters and not to mention the twists and turns that the plot takes at times.

LEV

I have been reading Belle Aurora’s books since I stumbled into the Indie Author world, Friend Zoned was the third book I read and was blown away. Her characters just draw you in and let me just say they are amazing! Belle’s attention to detail and her impeccable writing style have you drawn in right from the start and I have found myself numerous times not being able to put the book down or whining about having to do so. Lev was one of those books that I just could not put down, I became so emotionally invested in it that I felt like I was part of what they were doing. It was like an addiction really I just couldn’t get enough….. then it dawned on me that the book was loosely tied back to that first read. I definitely recommend Belle’s books to everyone, many have only heard of her book RAW and while I am a Twitch lover…..  I love the Leokov family and was in no way disappointed by this story.

Cowboy Endings

Kasey Millstead has woven another story that pulls you in and keeps you all twisted up in the lives of her characters. You feel like you are actually in the story experiencing the characters highs, lows and tragedies I just couldn’t help but become smitten with writing. I love Kasey and these sexy cowboys of hers! I however am sad since this book signifies the ending of the Down Under Cowboys Series. Cowboy Town was my introduction to Kasey’s wonderful storytelling skills and I haven’t looked back since. She has a wide array of books that are available from bikers to sweet and romantic and trust me when I say none of them will disappoint.

Backstage

This book is part of The Barter System series and I had been waiting impatiently for it to come out since I finished reading Hudson, and let me just say it did not disappoint!! The intricacy in which Shayne McClendon writes her stories just leaves you craving more. I love the way the characters from the previous books in the series always make at least an appearance, making you feel a real connection with them. You feel their losses, pain, and heartbreaks not to mention their smoking hot sexy connections!

The Fall

If you are looking for a book that makes you feel all the angst and drama within then this, this is the one to grab! This is a friends to lovers story along with a second chance romance all rolled into one. I love how Kate Stewart writes, you become so engrossed in the book that you lose all track of time until suddenly it’s over. I like that this story also ties loosely in with her other book Room 212 (such a great read too!!) Oh and as a collector of book boyfriends I think I have found yet another…. And Dean is it!!

Punk Rock Resurrection

I had been curious what Damian’s story was since I picked up the first book in the Radical Rock Stars series Prince of Punk Rock, and it was definitely well waited for! I have to say as much as I love Tommy Blade….. Damian Diamond takes the cake!! This is the third book in the series but can also be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed getting to read some of the back story on Immortal Angel. Damian crushed me at times and I just wanted to curl up and hold him but he is such a dynamic character that I really was not expecting. I loved how Alyssa was able to calm him and drive him wild at the same time, she is definitely a special lady!! Jenna writes such dynamic characters that interact so smoothly with each other, I definitely drop things when I know she has a new release coming out.

Wet

This book was an amazing debut by Stacy Kestwick and I’m honestly chomping at the bit to get my hands on the next book in the series. This book… I loved it and wanted to scream at it in the same breath!! I loved the way it brought you back to those first moments in a relationship, butterflies and first kisses, the awkward attraction that you know shouldn’t be there but you just can’t fight. The characters all meshed wonderfully and the story flows flawlessly. It does end in a cliffy but the next book is in the works!

Epic Sins

I have read every book Trudy Stiles has written since Dear Emily and the other books in the Forever Family series, actually that’s where we first meet Garrett. I was so happy when I found out that he was getting his own book, never mind that it is the start of a whole new series!! I needed to know more about this illusive guitarist and trust me when I say I definitely got what I wanted, and  I honestly think this is my favorite book of Trudy’s to date.

This was a very hard list to compile but I thought these were some of the few books that shined the brightest this year for me, I can’t wait to see what 2016 brings in the indie world!! Thank You for supporting us here at All Is Read and I’m wishing you and yours a very safe and Happy New Year!!
